I enjoyed meeting and working with you and Larry Vandenberg last week.
Further to our discussion, I have searched my fi!cs for "hard" evidence in support of the decision to declare Vermont Yankee commercial. I h9ve not located any documentation. I may have it, but I cannot find where it is filed. I suggest you call Mr. Gordon Stensrud. Chief Engineer, Vermont Public Service Board (802/828-2326).
I am sure he can provide the evidence to support my own memory. Feel free to raention my name if you think it would be helpful. (It might be well to assure him that anything he provides you will, in no way, affect Vermont Yankee.)
As to the general industry practice relative tc declaring a generating unit
" commercial". I enclose testimony of Wendall A. Johnson, Executive Vice-President of Toledo Edison Company in Case No. 76-ll74-EL-AIR before the Ohio PUC. (The rebuttal testimony is not a conformed copy having been dictated over the telephone from the filed copy. The cross-examination is a copy of the official transcript.)
