Dear Mr. Denton:
I am scheduled to attend a four-day conference in the Pocono Mountains in late April and early May.
My wife, my children, and my colleagues have all asked about the potential danger of radioactive fallout in that area of Pennsylvania.
While the conference is important to me, it is obviously less important than the potential I
dangers of fallout.
Since you and your office remain the only credible source of information, may I ask you to comment on my concern?
Do you believe
{
there is any danger in my attending this 1,
conference, vis-a-vis the nuclear " event" that occurred earlier this year?
Does the Nuclear.egulatory Commission take measurements that far away from Three Mile Island?
I know that you are busy, and involved with many more important decisions than this.
Nevertheless, the accident proved that we need a credible source of information for all citizens, so that they can make their own ;udgements about the matters I have discussed above.
I would appreciate a reply from your or someone in your office at your earliest convenience, so that I can make plans for the conference.
Appreciatively,
