APPEARANCES AT PRESIDENTIAL COIEISSION HEARINGS NEXT WEEK

e Stan Gorenson, Deptity Chief Counsel of the Presidential TMI Com-mission, advised OGC by phone that the five NRC Commissioners and some !GC staff officers are desired to appear at hearings next week.

The Commissioners will receive a letter inviting them to appear at Room 2008, New Executive Office Building, en Friday, June 1, 1979, at 10 a.m.

John Davis, Boyce Grier, Charles Gallina, Harold Denton and Victor Stello will be subpoenaed to appear at 1 p.m. on Thurs-day, May 31, 1979 Roger Mattson and Robert Tedesco will be sub-poenaed to appear at 9 a.m. on Friday, June 1, 1979 I'.r. Gorenson advised that the Commission was not interested in

. testimony on the regulatory process, but rather " events" at TMI-2 commencing at 4 a.m. on March 28, 1979, including such matters as NRC's response, how NRC got information, etc.

He advised that prepared testimony was not required or necessarily expected.

If NRC witnesses desired, they could submit prepared testimony.

However, prepared oral presentations, if any, should not be over 10 minutes in length, cc:
