Dear Mr. Denton:

We are against your decision of November 5th which put a freeze on issuing construction permits and operating licenses for nuclear power plants.

While we feel the well publisized Three Mile Island incident points out the fact 1

that we must put more stringent controls on nuclear power plant operation, we don't feel we should over-react and sacrifice our long term energy needs because of an isolated problem.

While the short term health perils of exposure to nuclear energy are serious, the long term prospects of depression and lack of fuel for homes and business are more serious.

America must learn now that short term sacrifices must be made for long term prosperity.
