Nuclear Regulatory Commission 1717 H Street, N. W.
Washington, D. C.
20555 Attention:
Mr. Harold R. Denton, Director
Dear Sir:
We are protesting the decision made on October 5, by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to stop issuing construction permits and operating licenses for nuclear power plants.
It is our understanding there are seven nuclear units await-ing the licenses to begin commercial operations. The freezing of these reactors will deprive our nation of a tremendous amount of energy and put an additional burden on the taxpayer in interest charges. We must have a source of energy that is economical, and our constant escalating cost of oil makes it imperative that we have nuclear energy to replace the oil.
Yours truly, GROVE E ' IPMENT RENTAL CO., INC.
