';e recently provided a respor.se to OIA on a draft DIA report dealing with the standardization program (please see attached).
Included in that response was a commitment to " consider" a method for documenting and commun-icating the R C process to all concerned.
I noted this item in the routing slip and volunteered to either take the lead or to work with others on pursuing this item.
I really believe that a good understanding of the process for the control

and implementation of regulatory guidelines / requirements does not now exist.
I recctmend that SB be assigned responsibility to draft an Office Letter on this subject that would identify the process, define responsibilities and prov'de guidelines for NRR personnel.
Thic subject is vital to standardiza-tion and thus, we are involved as well as "more tha'n interested" in this subject.
