Attn: Docketing and Service Branch

Dear Sir:

Pertaining to the NRC staff Environmental Assessmnt of the Use of EPICOR-II at 'Ihree Mile Island, Unit II, I would like to provide my carments as U.S. Representative for the 16th District of Pennsylvania.

I believe that officials of the City of Iancaster, with whom I concur, have provided you with a detailed and cmprehensive anaylsis of the many serious issues involved. At this time, I would like to focus on the NRC staff's failure to speak to the questions of the EPICOR-II syst m's ability to properly dispose of tritium.

'Ihe potential threat to the health and well-being of the people of south central Pennsylvania frm the tritium contained in the water to be processed by EPICOR-II could prove to be considerably high. Further, it is my view that the potential problms posed by the presence of this tritium have not been adequately analyzed and that additional study is required before an appropriate decision on the advisability of using the EPICOR II system can be node.

I appreciate your attention to this matter.
