XSNM01702, SNM TO BE EXPORTED UNDER GENERAL LICENSE NBS confirmed that the material requested for export on this application is in sensing components installed in instruments.
I advised them, therefore, that the enriched uranium could be exported under a general license in accord-ance with 10 CFR 110.22(a); however, a component and a byproduct license would be required to export the instruments and the Neptium-237 and Americium 241.
