Gentlemen:
In response to the Item of Noncompliance included in the subject report, the following is provided.
NOTICE OF VIOLATION Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted during the period of April 22 through May 21, 1980, it appears that certain of your activities were not conducted in full compliance with NRC regulations and the conditions of your licenses DPR-51 and NPF-6, as indicated bel w:
The licensee failed to adhere to the procedural requirements relating to the use of Job Orders during the performance of maintenance on High Pressure Safety Injection (HPSI) valve 2CV-5076 (the normally shut valve that automatically opens on an Engineered Safety feature signal to allow HPSI flow to 'D' reactor coolant loop).
Specifically, elec-trical corrective maintenance was performed on valve 2CV-5076 under job order 2-2012-80 which was subsequently documented to be complete i
and the valve ready to be r1 turned to service on April 7, 1980.
On April 29, 1980, the electrical junction box cover (2TB 903) was found to be missing from valve 2CV-5076 and the junction box door on the supply end was open.

RESPONSE
The junction box cover (2TB 903) was replaced and the door on the end was closed. This was done on J.0. #2-2045. All appropriate personnel were advised of the controls regarding use and compliance with procedures, and appraised of the necessary precautions for closing out job orders.
Full compliance has been achieved.
