ORDER SCHEDULING A PREHEARING CONFERENCE (July 21,1980)
On April 25, 1980 a notice was published by the Co= mission'

offering a hearing on the renewal of the operating license held by the Regents of the University of California (Regents) for the UCLA Research Reactor.
On May 22, 1980 a petition to intervene requesting a hearing was file.d by the Cocmittee to Bridge the Gap (BTG), a group of students and faculty at UCLA and local citizens.
On June 11, 1980 the NRC Staff responded to the peti-1
-l tion.
Due to inadequate service by the petitioner, the Regents requested an extension of time to July 8, 1980 to respond to the petition.
This was granted by a 3oard order of June 18, 1980.
The Regents responded on July 3, 1980.
A prehearing conference will be held in Courtroom No. 324, U. S. Courthouse, 312 No. Spring Street, Los Angeles, California at 9:30 a.m.
(local time) on September 18, 1980.
