Dear Mr. Keppler:

Illinois Power Company is planning certain repairs to our Clinton Power Station's Unit 1 reactor pressure vessel. General Electric Company has been authorized to perform this work which has been subcontracted to Reactor Controls, Inc. This notifica-tion is in accordance with Article IWA 1400,Section XI, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, The repairs, scheduled to commence mid July 1980, consists of replacing a defective elbow on the reactor drain line, The above work will be accomplished in accordance with the Summer 1975 (1974 issue) requirements of Section XI, ASME Boiler and-Pressure Vessel Code, The repair plan, procedures, and related documents will be available for your review at the site, Sincerely,
