Dear Governor Garrahy:

Thank you for your letter of June 23, 1980, in which you ask for a meeting with NRC representatives to discuss the decommissioning and other aspects of the United Nuclear Corporation's operation at Wood River Junction, Rhode Island.

I am pleased to tell you that Mr. William T. Crow and a colleague from our Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards will meet with you in your office on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 8.

Both individuals are familiar with the United Nuclear case.

Later that same day, Mr. Crow will attend the public meeting in Charlestown, Rhode Island.

I hope this arrangement will be satisfactory.
