P. o. Box '600 Galveston, Texas 77553 - (713174 4-7141 September 4,1979 Mr. Karl V. Seyfrit, Director U.S. N.R.C., Region IV 611 Ryan Plaza Drive, Suite 1000 Arlington, Texas 76012

Dear Sir:

In response to the IE Bulletin No. 79-19, dated August J0r1979pIodd Research & Technical Division's response relates to our SNM-1015 license under which no radioactive waste has been genera ver'the last 5 years and forecast the same over the remaining lifetime thereof.

TRT does, however, generate a considerable amount of low-level radio-active waste under our State of Texas Radioactive Material License Nos. 8-871 and 8-1231, and are completing the same basic type of information for that agency.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to call me at anytime.

Sincerely, C. E. Winters, Jr.
