Docket No.70-925 Docket No. 70-1193

Dear Mr. Davis:

Please refer to your letter of June 16, 1980 in reference to the inspection conducted by Mr. N. E. DuBry of the Kerr-McGee Cimarron Facility.

The following corrective actions have been completed:

Violation Item 9.0(C) of our license application dated November 29, 1978, which was incorporated as Amendment No. 3 to license No. SNM-1174, states, "No empty or partially filled drums (or other shipping containers) will be placed in room 121".

C'ontrary to this requirement, on April 8,1980, the inspector observed empty drums in room 121.

Corrective Actions The empty drums were removed from room 121 on April 9,1980. A follow-up investigation revealed the individual who had placed the empty drums in room 121.

In addition, the license condition was re-viewed with all other employees. To avoid further non-compliance three signs were posted in room 121 which state, "No empty or partially fi,lled shipping containers allowed in room 121".

If you have any questions, please contact me.
