Dear Sir:

River Bend Station - Unit 1 Docket No. 50-458 In response to your letter of April 21, 1910 concerning "Information Request on Category I Masonry Wall 4 Employed by Plants Under CP and OL Reviru", the River Bend 1tation engineer-ing and design criteria indijste that no piping or equipment will be supported from masonry walls. Masonry walls are used for radia-tion protection purposes in areas where equipos nt maintenance necessitates the remov(1 of the wall.

In this usage, masonry walls are non-load bearing. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to provide these comments.

Sincerely, L.c4 - Q E. L. Draper Vice President - Te :hnology ELD /WJR/mb Bool 5,
