IE Bulletin 79-17, Revision 1 Pipe Cracks in Stagnant Borated Water Systems at PWR Plants
Dear Mr. Engelken:
Examinations were performed at Rancho Seco in accordance with Item 2b of IE Bulletin 79-17 with no reportable indications noted.
Three recordable indications were noted in two welds (two in one weld and one in another weld), which were all determined to be geo-meteric reflections caused by weld root configuration or counterbore.
We consider our response to the requirements of IE Bulletin 79-17, Revision 1, complete.
