Dear Mr. Frey:
This letter responds to your request for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's views and reccamendations concerning S. 562, an enrolled bill to authorize appropriations to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for fiscal year 1980, and for other purposes.
The Commission has reviewed the provisions of this bill and on balance finds them acceptable. We recommend that the President-sign the bill.
Two technical corrections which should be made in the text of the bill as finally printed are in Section 201. The "(a)" following "SEC. 201." should be struck.
In the third line, the new subsection is designated "f".
As far as we can ascertain, there is presently no subsection "e" in section 103 of the Atomic Energy Act.
