October 5, 1971 Accident Task Force TELECON WITH R. SALVATORI, WESTINGHOUSE 1.
He will be in Bethesda temorrow (Wednesday) about 3:00 p.m.
to tell us what he has been doing about accidents.
2.
The W approach for the short term (40-day and 60-day submittals) is to show that the fencepost doses are "not a significant impact on the environment," and thus to avoid giving--and defending--probability numbers now.
If asked they will give "their best judgment as to the probability of a given accident."
3.
They have broken down our Classes 2-8 into a few representative acci-dents per class, and have assu=ptions for each accident.
