This confims the infomation provided you by phone by Mr. Young of our office on June 17 in response to your June 11,1980 letter. The responsibility for the management of training programs for State and local emergency planning and response personnel has been transferred from the Nuclear Regulatory Comission (NRC) to the Federal Emergency Managenent Agency (FFA).
I understand that you have already contacted Mr. Robert DeFayette of that agency and discussed course arrangements and availability. A copy of your latter has been femarded to Mr. DeFayette.
With regard to the resolution sent to the Regulatory Improvement Branch of NRC (referenced in the last sentence on page 1 of your June 11, 1980 letter),that Branch reports that they have had discussions With you and that you are providing them another copy of that resolution.
