NSD NORTHERN STATES POWER COMPANY PRAIRIE ISLAND NUCLEAR GENERATING PLANT RR #2 Welch, SIN 55089 July 1, 1980 Mr. James G Keppler, Director Region III Office of Inspection and Enforcement U S Nuclear Regulatory Commission 799 Roosevelt Road Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 ATTN: D C Boyd Reportable Occurrence No. 80-18 On June 29, 1980, minor primary-to-secondary leakage was detected in No. 12 Steam Generator. Calculations showed leakage of about 0.006 gallons per minute.

The leakage has been carefully monitored and as of about 1100 hours0.0127 days <br />0.306 hours <br />0.00182 weeks <br />4.1855e-4 months <br /> today was calculated to be about 0.2 gallons per minute and slowly increasing.

Unit I is now shutdown and a cooldown is planned.
