Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
IE Bulletin 80-10, " Contamination of Nonradioactive System and Resulting Potential for Un:nonitored, Uncontrolled Release of Radioactivity to Enrironment," requested that Alabama Power Company perform a design and operation review of Farley Nuclear Plant Unit 1 to identify systems that p
are considered as nonradioactive, but could become contaminated due to leakage, valving errors, or other operating conditions in radioactive systems. It was further requested that a routine sa=pling/ analysis or monitoring program be established for these systems in order to properly identify any contaminating events. The ac'tions requested have been completed for Farley Unit 1.
Details regarding the completion of these requests have been documented and are available at Farley Nuclear Plant for NRC review.
