This is in response to your letter dated April 14, 1980 in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, copies of all records, documents, materials, or other information in the possession of the NRC concerning the Abalone Alliance and any information regarding the August 4,1977 memorandum to the Deputy Attorney General et. al.,

Enclosed, as listed in the App'endix, is a copy of a document relating to the Abalone Alliance of which the staff is aware.

rule making matter, those letters would be in the public Docket files for the proceedings involved.

There are public Docket files for the various nuclear plants located throughout California, and copies of documents concerning the Abalone Alliance may be contained there.

For your information I. am enclosing a listing of 1.ocal,Public Document Rooms located in California.

Regarding your request for information on the. August 4,1977 FBI memorandum, the NRC has no records pertaining to this, but you may be able to obtain the information you seek by writing to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
