DOCKET N0. 50-266 STEAM GENERATOR 90 EFPO INSPECTION POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 1 This letten is to advise you that in accordance with the
" Modification of November 30, 1979 Order" dated April 4,1980, we will be taking the Point Beach Nuclear Plant Unit 1 off-line on July 25, 1980, for a scr.eduled outaga to conduct the hydre::t: tic tests and inservice inspections required witnin 90 effective full power days (EFPD) from tne date of the Order. An eddy current examination of 100% of the tubes in both steam generators will be conducted during this outage. Three percent of the tubes will be inspected over their entire length with the remaining tubes being inspected to the first support plate.
Perding the results of this planned inspection, and your written notification regarding the acceptability of the tests, we would propose that the unit be pennitted to resume operation for an additional 90 EFPD under the same conditions of the November 30, 1979 Confirmatory Order and the January 3,1980 modification of that Order.
