Union of Concerned Scientists' Motion dated June 27, 1/
1980- to extend the time for discovery on the SER from mailed service on July 1, to hand-delivered service on July 7 is not opposed by the licensee or the NRC staff and is granted.
UCS's SER discovery requests shall also be hand-delivered to the board chairman on July 7.

Counsel's certificate that the June 27 motion was hand-l delivered to the chairman on that date is incorrect.
The chairman received only a copy of the motion from the NRC Secretary by NRC internal mail on July 3.
A better pro-cedure for nearly late requests for time extensions is to make the request to the chairman timely by telephone after 80070908%O pA o//
