LICENSEE'S MOTION TO RESCHEDULE PREHEARING CONFERENCE Licensee respectfully requests a postponement of the July 7, 1980, prehearing conference established by the Board's Order-of May 23, 1980, and suggests that the prehearing conference be rescheduled during the week beginning July 28,_1980.
Licensee has now received lists of contentions from Petitioners Sholly and Lochstet.
(No contentions have been received from the Environmental Coalition on Nuclear Power.)
Upon-reviewing the contentions and after consultation with NRC Staff counsel, Licensee's counsel is convinced that negotiation' among the parties is likely to lead to the simplification and/or elimination of issues raised by the contentions.
Because of other TMI-related schedule problems, Licensee's counsel will not be able~to prepare for such a meeting before July 7, and Licensee's counsel is informed that an earlier meethig wxdd pose, schedule problems for at'least two of the other parties.-*/ Accordingly, m

Licensee's counsel does not know whether a meeting prior to July 7 would pose a problem for Mr. Sholly.

O 2-subject to_the approval by the Board of this motion, Licensee's counsel has arranged a meeting with counsel for the.NRC Staff and Mssrs. Sholly and Lochstet on July 7.
The suggestion of the week of July 28 for the rescheduled prehearing conference is principally dictated by the present schedule and expected availability of NRC Staff counsel, who is agreeable to any day in that week.
Mr. Lochstet, however, has advised that Wednesday, J.uly 30, is a very bad day for him.

Counsel for Licensee has been authorized by counsel for the NRC Staff and by Mssrs. Sholly and Lochstet to state that they concur in this motion.
Counsel for Licensee'has also been authorized by counsel for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to state that the Commonwealth has no objection to this motion.
