We have reviewed your request and have detennined that the granting of an exemption to reduce the allowable isotopic concentration from 80 per-cent to 70 percent of plutonium 238 will not endanger life or property or the common defense and security, and is otherwise in the public in-terest.

D Accordingly, under the authority of the Comission to grant exemptions pursuant to Section 73.5, you are hereby granted a specific exemption frc:n the requirement of 10 CFR Part 73.67 for the possession, use and/
or transport of plutonium with an isotopic concentration less than 30 percent of plutonium 238, provided the reduced isotopic concentration of Pu 238 exceeds 78 percent.
