This report cover? the period February 1, to February 19, 1976, Twenty-four (24) hour sampics were taken three (3) times weekly dur-ing the period and plant operation was steady state, near full power during all samples. February marked the end, weather wise, of an unseasonably warm winter. Impingement levels varied greatly during this period. Total biomass impinged ranged from 2002 pounds per twenty-four (24) hours to twenty (20) pounds per twenty-four (24) hours with 88,030 to 750 individuals, respectively. Water temperatures on these days were 43 F, the low for the period, and 31 F, the high, respectively.

Threadfin Shad continued to dominate all samples, ranging from 99% of total biomass to 60%. Threadfin Shad of the 90-120 millimeter size class were most prevalent in the samples. These fish generally ranged from five (5) to fifteen (15) grams each in weight. Total weight of Threadfin Shad in the samples ranged from 1995 pounds to twelve (12) pounds with 87,792 to 463 individuals, respectively.

In the sample in which Threadfin Shad made up 60%,. Gizzard Shad contributed 15%, The other 25% consisted of fourteen (14) other species dominated by Freshwater Drum and Blue Catfish.
