During September, fish impingement monitoring at Arkansas Nuclear One followed the nonnal sampling regime with 24-hour samples being taken ANO-1 twice weekly when the circulating water system was in operation.

has operated at, or near, rated power 51% of the period and was off-line approximately 307 hours0.00355 days <br />0.0853 hours <br />5.076058e-4 weeks <br />1.168135e-4 months <br />.

Average reservoir water temperature for the period was 76.5 F.,as re-flected by the inlet waterbox monitors.

Impingement has continued to be characterized by relatively low sample biomass and wide specie diversity.

Threadfin and gizzard shad belonging to the 60-90 m size class have con-Samples for sistently dominated the samples numerically and by biomass.

the month totaled 162.5 pounds consisting of 6,086 individuals.

Threadfin and gizzard shad made up 52% of the total biomass and 85% of the total number of individuals during this period.
