llh UNITED STATES ATOMIC ENERGY COMMISSION' DOCKET NO. 50-313 ARKANSAS POWER & LIGHT COMPANY NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF APPLICATION FOR CONSTRUCTION PERMIT AND FACILITY LICENSE Arkansas Power & Light Company, Ninth and Louisiana Streets, Post Office Box 551, Little Rock, Arkansas 72203, pursuant to Section 104(b) of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, has filed an application, dated November 24, 1967, for authorization to construct and operate a pressurized water nuclear reactor on the applicant's site located in the southwestern part of Pope County, about two miles southeast of the village of London, Arkansas.
The proposed reactor, designated by ti.e applicant as the Russellville Nuclear Unit, is designed for initial operation at approximately 2452 megawatts (thermal), with a net electrical output of approximately 850 megawatts.
A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the Conmission's Public Document Room, 1717 H Street, N. W., Washington, D. C.
