Description of Occurrence:

Samples taken from the intake and discharge canals and at point 20 on September 29, 1975, indicate that chemical concentrations of 2 parameters increased across the plant in excess of ETS limits:

X Neutralizing tank draining into discharge flume at time of sampling.

Analysis ot' Occurrence:

i The neutralizing tank which contained water impurities remaining after regenerating condensate demineralizers and plant makeup water deminer-l alizers was being drained into the discharge fiume vhen samples were taken. No other liquid releases were in progress at the time of sampling.

Corrective Action:

Revision to ETS concerning chemical discharges has been prepared and 1

submitted to the NRC for approval.
