Description of Occurrence:

Analysis of sampics taken from the intake canal and discharge canal on 9/22/75 indicate that turbidity in the discharge embayment was 11.7%

greater than turbidity in intake canal.

X Recent rains caused Arkansas River to rise and back muddy waters up into the discharge embayment.

Analysis of Occurrence:

Recent heavy rains in the state of Oklahoma and in western Arkansas muddled the Arkansas River and caused it to rise, backing waters up into the discharge embayment. Water in the Illinois Bayou embayment where the plant extracts cooling water was much clearer in comparison to.the river.

Revision to Environmental Technical Specifications concernirig chemical

-discharges have been prepared and submitted to the NRC for approval.
