Dear Mr. Phelan:
In an effort to be more responsive to the needs of the public the Atomic Ener;;y Commission has established locations where members of the public can inspect documents reisting to applications currently under review by the regulatory staff for construction permits and facility licenses.
These locations are near the site of the proposed nucicar plant and, for the most part, are in public libraries, thereby providing ec.sy access to the public.
The Cotx:ission,1rrently has pending an application for the Rancho Seco Nucicar Generating Station. The address of the local public document room for this project is Sacramento City County Library,1930 T Street, Sacramento, California 95814.
You may wish to refer members of the public who contact your office to this location where they can review the application and other related docu:nents.
