OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission (the Commission) has-issued i
Amendment No. 25 to Facility-Operating License No. DPR-54, issued to
~
' Sacramento Municipal Utility District, which revised the license for operation of the Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station (the facility) located in Sacramento County, California. The amendment is effective as of _its date of issuance.
The amendment revises the completion date for certain modifications
' intended to improve the level of fire protection at the facility.
.The application _ for. the amendment complies with the standards and
~
requirements of the Atomic Energy _ Act of 1954, as amended. (the Act), and
.the Comission's rules and regulations. The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules
~
and regulations in:10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.
Prior'public notice of this amendment was not required since q
- the amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.

< The Comission has detennined that the issuance of this amendment will not result in any significant enviror, mental impact and that pur-suant to 10 CFR 151.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statement, or negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of this amendment.
