Dear Sir:

In'accordance with Technical Specifications for Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station, ' Section 6.9.5. A, the Sacramento Municipal Utility District hereby submits a one-time 'only report of plant operations for the year'1977. This report covers the transition period of 1977, after which all information of the type contained in this report will be included in the Monthly Operating Reports.

This report contains a narrative summary of reactor operations; a surrary of changes, tests and experiments completed which were subject to 10CFR50.59(b) reporting requirements; and a listing of major items of safety related maintenance performed during 1977.

Plant operating

-statistics and shutdown information are contained in the Monthly Operating Reports submitted throughout ' the year.
