Rancho Seco Nuclear Station, Unit No. 1 AEC Docket No. 50-312 Your letter of August 11, 1971 reauested further information concerning the performance of emergancy core cooling systems following a loss-of-coolant accident to assist you in your evaluation of the ECCS.
We are being kept apprised of your continuing discussions with our supplier, Babcock & Wilcox, concerning their analyses for our plant.
They are preparing additional information to establish an evaluation model which is acceptable to tha AEC for our plant and have scheduled documenta-tion subaittal during Septenber and October in the form of topical reports for a power level of 2365 MWt.
Additional information for the Rancno beco Nuclear Generating Station power level of 2772 MWt will be submitted as a revision to the FSAR following acceptance of the evaluation method.
We call your attention to the need for a timely review of the information submitted in view of our plant schedule.
