' Directorate of Regulatory Operations, HQ REGULATORY OPERATIONS BULLETIN 73-1 1

Attached are replies received from Southern California Edison Company (SCE),

j Sacra = ento Municipal Utility District (S!UD), and Portland General Electric.

Company (?GE).

In that neither the SMUD Rancho Seco nor the PGE Trojan projects are i

utilizing the Westinghouse DB-50 breakers equipped with time delay overcurrent devices, we plan no further action on the matter with respect to those

. facilities.

You will note that although SCE currently utili::cs the circuit breakers in question at their San Onofre Unit 1 facility, they are planning to replace them with overcurrent trip devices of an inproved design during the June, 1973 refueling outage. This item will be' included in our inspection visit scheduled for June, at which time we hope to close it out.
