By letters dated September 30 and December 2, 1976, to Mr. J.J.
Mattimoe, you requested that Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station Unit

I submit a proposed Technical Specification on fire protection.
Enclosed are' forty (40) copies of Proposed. Amendment No. 47 modeled after your stands /d.
The st,andard was'used to guide the sccpe and type cf specifications according to the existing conditions at Rancho Seco.
The format was changed to adapt to the existing Technical Specifications but the wording has been retained f rom your standard.
Where practical, the stand.ard has been used and written into the proposed Technical Specification.
Requi rements that would necessitate considerable design or change in operating philosophy were not included in the proposed Technical Specification and uill wait resolution of our responses to NRC Branch Technical Position 9.5-1 submitted to you on August 31, 1976.
