Dear Mr. Reid:

"O By letter dated March 16, 1977 to Mr. J.J. Mattimoe, you requested that Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 submit a proposed Tech-alcal Specification concerning the " Radiation Protection Manager".

To implement the provision we have determined that our " Chemistry and Radiation Supervisor" meets the minimum qualifications of Regulatory Guide 1.8, September 1975.

Since this individual is so qualified, we are proposing a Technical Specification Amendment No. 50 as required by your letter.
