Dear Mr. Minshall:

This is in reply to your March 23, 1971 letter which r1 closed a portion of a letter from Mrs. Erven George Lancer concerning the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station near Port Clinton, Ohio.

In response to a number of inquiries on the Davis-Besse plant, we have prepared a s'a= mary which describes the proceedings concerned with the licensing of the plant, and the controls that the AEC will have over the plant during its lifetime. I en enclosing a copy of the si===gry for Mrs. Lancer's information.

In addition, Mrs. Lancer may be interested in the enclosed detailed statement of environmental considerations associated with the construc-tion and operation of the Davis-Besse plant. This detailed statement was prepared by the ABC regulatory staff as required by the National -
