bv c)s \ CERTIFICATE OF REPREMTATION Helen McCue, Secretary of Citizens for Clean Air & Water, Inc., (a non profit corporation) hereby certifies that at a meeting of the Board of Directors of said association, duly called, after reasonable notice, on the 10th day of November,1970, that by resolution duly offered and passed (copy attached), the Coalition for Safe Nuclear Power was formally authorized and directed to represent it before theAtcmic Energy Commission in the matter of TOLELO EDISON CO. and CLEVELAND ELECTRIC ILLUMD& TING CO. (Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station) Dockot No. 50-3h6, and to petition for leave to intervene in the proceeding for the reason, inter alia, that the proposed action of the Atenic Energy Cocmission in said proceeding could adversely affeu its rights and interests. The special interest of our organisation: The member individuals and our organication has by its past activities and conduct exhibited and new asserts a special interest in the protection of the natural resources of the Lake Erie Area and in the conservational, recreational, economic, aesthetic and community impact of nuclear power plant developuent in the Lake Erie Area and are first and foremost concerned that such nuclear power plants not be built or operated where to do so would be inimical to the health or safety of our members or the general public. The Atemic Energy Commission's I cetion vill affect our organisation's interests. If the Ccmmission pomits conetruction of the proposed facility, as it has stated it intends to do, and later licenses its operation the environmental effects resulting therefrem will adversely affect the health, safety, and econceic interest of members of our organization and the general public. The purpose of our group is an action group to save our environment, and the activities included in such purpose are public education, participation in public meetings and o Eh public hearings, and any action deemed necessary to prevent pollution.
