In accordance with the understandings which were reflected in Chairman Seaborg's letter of October 3, 1963 to Admiral Karo, I am forwarding Volumes 1, 2 and 3 of the Preifminary Safety Analysis Report filed by The Toledo Edison Company and The Cleveland Electric Illu:ninating Company with their application for authorization to construct and operate the Davis-Desse nuclear Power Etation.
The proposed facility is to be located on the applicants' approxi-nacely 900-acre site on the southwest shore of Lake Erie, about twenty-one siles east of Toledo, in Ottawa County, Ohio.
Ua would appreciate receiving the results of your review of the enclosed docunents concerning the seisnological characteristics of the Davis-Besse Station site which might have a bearing upon our safety review of the Da71s-3 esse Nuclear Power Station Unit No. 1.
