Bypass status interlocks from remota and ICS system switches were discussed to determine degree of confomance of R.G.1.47.
Two items (HS-ICS-3SB and HIS-528 switches) on Bechtel drawing M-051 did not include alam and/or indication status. Our concern was that in the event that these position switches were not in their proper position automatic auxiliary feedwater pump turbine tinitia'tidn wouhi te blocked.
Bechtel confined that HS-ICS-388 status indication was in confomance with R.G.1.47, however for HIS-523 status indication could not he verified to confom with R.G.1.47.
This remains an open item.
2.
Two interlocks were provided to automatically shut the suction valves on the auxiliary feed pump (AFP) turbines on the steam side and the feedwater side, i.e.,1) high level in the AFP room interlock or 2) low steam pressure interlock in the suction line of the AFP' turbine.
Because a single failure can inadvertenly teminate auxiliary feedwater flow to either steam generator,.m requested the applicant to remove these automatic interlocks or m6dify the design to confom with IEEE Std 279-1971. This recains an open i tem.
