Your letter of January 23, 1974 requested certain infomation concerning the organizational structure of groups and individuals perfoming quality assur-ance related activities for the design and construction of the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 1.
The requested information is fully presented in Chapter 17 of the Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) previously filed in support of our application for an operating license. This includes information for Toledo Edison, Bechtel acting as architect-er.gineer and construction manager, and Babcock &
Wilcox who are the supplier for the nuclear supply system. Specifically, Figure 17-1 sets forth the principal flow paths between these three organiza-tions and between the responsible groups and individuals within these organizations. Section 17.1.1.1 on pages 17-4 and 17-5 describes the Toledo Edison organization, together with responsibility and authority of personnel.
Sections 17.1.2.1 and 17.1.2.2 and pages 17-9 thru 17-14 describes the Bechtel organization together with responsibility and authority of personnel.
This same information for Babcock & Wilcox is given in Section 17.1.3.1 on pages 17-24 and 17-25.
