Dear Mr. Crow:
The Toledo Edison Company and the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company hereby jointly make applicatica pursuant to 10 CFR Part 70 for a license to authorize the receipt, possession, and storage of unirradiated fuel assemblies and associated radioactive materials for eventual use in the Davis-Besse Unit i nuclear reactor.
The Toledo Edison Company has complete responsibility for the design and installation of Davis-Besse Unit 1, and for the prosecution of this application and all related licensing activities and proceedings before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Toledo Edison will also have complete responsibility for the operation and maintenance of Davis-Besse Unit 1.
The application enclosed herewith consists of that information requested and outlined in Regulatory Guide 3.15 " Standard Format and Content of License Applications for Storage Only of Unirradiated Reactor Fuel and Associated Radioactive Material".
The license is requested to be in effect from February 22, 1976 until a reactor operating license is received.
