This letter is in response to your's of November 11, 1976 regarding Davis-Besse Unit i valve MUHV66B yoke failure. As our Mr. Novak related by telecon with your Mr. Hayes on November 10, it is not the intention of our October 27, 1976 letter to close the yoke failure incident, but only to address the operator material deficiency of the listed valves, a condition separate from the yoke failure problem.
In accordance with our October 25, 1976 letter, Toledo Edison is still investi-gating the yoke failure incident, and had anticipated issuing a final report by November 19, 1976. Our investigation will not be concluded by the expected day. Our final report is now expected to be submitted by December 3, 1976.
We apologize for the confusion created by the two letters.
