The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is in the process of obtaining independent information relative to the Sheffield site, pursuant to 10 CFR Parts 30.52 and 30.53, and Section 161 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended. As part of this effort contractor organizations will be assisting NRC in data collection and analysis. This will require a number of contractor personnel visiting the site from time to time. Anticipated activities may include examining site operation records, having discussions with site personnel and performing field tests.
We will inform you of the dates and names of contractor personnel that will require access to the site. We expect your full cooperation in this regard.
