All of the waste that will be produced by this decontamination will bc shipped off site to a corm:ercial low level waste burial site in either Beatty, Nevada or Hanford, Washington. At these burial sites the waste will be buried in accordance with the requirements contained in the licenses issued by the States of Nevada or Washington, as applicable.

All packaging and shipping of the radioactive waste within the State of Illinois and other states along the route to the burial site will be in accordance with the rules and regulations established by the Nuclear Regulatory Comission and the Department of Transportation to assure that m.
5m the health and safety of the public is not endangered by these actions.
4 The Director of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation has determined that I2~
an environnental impact statement should be prepared in support of the Dresden fh==
decontamination. This staterent provides a detailed discussion of the

environmntal impact of. this action and offers you an opportunity to comment further.
