Dear Don:
You can certainly be proud of the way the annual meeting of the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors went off last month.
I have heard many comments that it was, by far, the best meeting ever.
To start with, everyone seemed to be delighted with the quality of the Galt House -- and it truly was a pleasure to spend a week there.
In fact, several members said they hoped we would never go back to staying at motels; they had a definite preference for good hotels in the center of town.
Also, the socia', events were outstanding.
Everyone enjoyed the visit to Churchill Downs and the evening on the Belle.
But the real surprise was Monte Carlo Night. We probably could do it every year and the crowd would never tire of it.
(Didn't you love Edd Johnson with his"2,780" to start off every auction?)
Don, I also want to express my personal appreciation for all the nice things you did for me -- everything from MAKER'S MARK, to the ceramic jug, to making me a landowner in Daniel Boone Country. We all admired your originality.
I'm only sorry we won't be going back to Louisville next year' With many thanks for all your hard work - and congratulations on the marvelous success that you achieved.
Sincerely, h
Marie Janinek State Relations Officer Office of State Programs o
