In response to IE Bulletin 80-08, we have discussed the subject ITT General Controls Hydramotor Actuators supplied to the Zimmer Project by American Warming and Ventilating Co.
Fifty Eight (58) such operators were identified by serial number by American Warming and Ventilating Company to have incorrect spring material.
The correct springs have been obtained and will be installed in mid-July, 1980 by American Warming and Ven-tilating Company.
Additionally, tests are being conducted by General Lontrols concerning several possibly undersized actuators supplied ta the Zimmer Project due to the use of an incorrect nomogram in tne de-sign stage.
Results of these tests have not yet been received.
