Dear Mr. Ahearra:
I am writing to express my very serious concern over the arrangements for a recent public meeting regarding evacuation pla:ts in the area surrounding Peach Bottaa Nuclear Power Plant.
Although the Peach Botton facility is located in Pennsylvania its proximity to Harford and Cecil Counties in Maryland rakes the operation of this plant a natter of scme concern to offi-cials and citizens of these local jurisdictions. The meetim scheduled for April 24 at the Peach Bottan Plant was not ad-vertised in publicaticr.s accessible to citizens of Earford and Cecil Counties. Furthermore no effort was made to notify elected public officials of the two jurisdictions as to the neeting and the important public purpose involved.

in the safety of the Peach Bottan facility seriously uh. ires citizen confidence in the regulatory responsibilitr of the goverment. Further:nore it has the result of denying individ-uals a reasonable eL:nity to ccranent on these evacuation plans.
Because of the importance of this matter I urge that another public meeting be held with full notification for c m cerned indiv,rb le in Earford and Cecil Counties. Such a meeting would provide an opportunity for ccment on the evacuation plans by citizens and officials who were not ad-vised of the earlier meeting because of the Comitsicn's l
cversight. Your assistance in addressing this matter is greatly appreciated.
